Handsome's daughters are wide
throughout, tall, and extremely correct. He is
adding stature to his daughters. Although they tend
to be slow maturing, they are very lovely animals
and as Juniors in the showring are showing
promise.
The one daughter we retained out of him this past
year has freshened with a lovely, high, wide well
attached udder, who is very pleasant to milk. She
was shown once as a kid, Cookie went Jr. GCH at the
Jackson County Fair.
He is line bred heavily on Trailblaiser. He is
related to Old Glory Black Dutch, as well as
Tubuk who is our other buck we will be using
heavily this year. His disposition is most
admirable. He is the first buck that I was not
afraid to turn my back on....He was affectionate
and easy to handle even in full rut. He has passed
this easy going disposition on to all his get. We
have retained a son out of him and Henna, which
also has his Sire's easy going disposition.
We have used Handsome heavily this past year on
many of the older does and have several of his
daughters in the herd to freshen as well as others
who have daughters out of him, so we have sold him
so that he may be used in another herd to Jean
Baugh of Old Glory Nubians, in Old Glory, TX.
Congratulations Jean on a wonderful buck....He is
missed terribly here....
